Just got my 310xt as well. Navco sells the watches at p24k with manufacturer's warranty.. what i can recommend to beginners is the new Forerunner 110, available both for male and female. Its a lot cheaper at p13+k. Navco dealers i think include second wind and ROX

Hmmm...Was thinking of getting my 310XT from amazon. But after reading this...afraid! so tempting though coz it's cheaper. I guess as long as there's warranty, it should be ok to purchase it online.

I got my Garmin Forerunner 305 from Amazon for only 168USD; shipping via Johnny Air reached only 1500PhP -- setting me back around 9,500PHP.

Local retailers can easily cash in on the running boom only if their prizes are competitive with that of online stores. In this day and age of e-commerce, charging unreasonably would get you nowhere!
