Ambigram – AMICUS

Here’s an ambigram of Amicus.  AMiCUS stands for Adventist Ministry to College and University Students.  It’s an organization for Adventist students who are studying in non-Adventists Schools.  I was not part of this organization during my college years but I know friends who have an Amicus in thier schools.
Here are two ambigrams for Amicus.

Branded

Brand names are important to sell a product.  Others have become so popular that they became household names and became a generic name.  Other people are still so stubborn to use the name of the brand rather than its generic name.  I’m one of those stubborn people.  Here are my list of brand names I [...]

A never-ending debate on "-gelle" vs "-gol"

Triangle.  Is it pronounced as triang-gol or triang-gelle?
It’s a big issue.  A subject of debate, teasing and humiliation.  Which side are you?  That depends on where you are from.  If you grew up in Luzon you’d probably say triang-ghel.  If you grew up in the Visayas, like the Ilonggo and Cebuano, you’d say traing-gol.

If you stay in [...]

Ambigram – Thank You

Here’s an ambigram for the words Thank You.  It’s my entry to the Nagfa Ambigram Challange.  Nagfa is another ambigram artist from Singapore.  He regularly cooks up some challenging ambigrams for artists all over the world to take on.  It’s interesting to view the designs of other artists.  I can’t wait until April’s Challenge is [...]

My Road to Riches – My Biggest Liability

I always talk about saving money and making the most out of my money.  So you might think I damn rich.  DAMN WRONG.  I’m still broke.  Why?  Where did all my money go?
This is where my money go.  Well, most of it anyway.

Job Hunting Blues – Dress to Impress

I find job hunting fun. I would even advise people to do some regular job hunting to practice having interviews, taking exams, and making resumes. Even if they have no plans to move to another job, just try. You’d learn a lot. And who knows, there might be a great opportunity [...]

Sleepless in a bus

Travelling from Manila to Cavite is a long and boring ride.  I travel to work everyday and it takes more than an hour on our shuttle service.  I take this opportunity to take a nap inside the bus.  But today, I missed the shuttle and I have to commute in a public bus.  That will be [...]

Ambigram – Orrin

As requested by Portia, here’s the ambigram for her son, Orrin.  Orrin’s full name is Orrin Elessar Kleiven.  Whew.  But I’ll settle for just the first name.  That made this ambigram a bit easier.
The O-N inversion was quite hard.  I have to make several revisions to come up with the design.  I added a border [...]

My Road to Riches – The Don'ts I Easily Fall Into

In the book “Don’t spend your raise and 59 other money rules you can’t afford to break”, Dara Duguay outline some do’s and don’ts in managing personal finances.  The book is a simple outline of the rules with real life examples of people who followed or disobeyed the rules.  I can easily relate with most of [...]
